FTP Integration
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a way to move files from one computer to another. Utilising FTP with TCW can very advantageous for a number of reasons:
Import to TCW
Export from TCW to customer FTP
Original Documents
Annotated Documents
Document Reports
Document transfers are processed every 10 minutes then removed from the specified folder. Document reports are exported nightly.
Multiple Upload Methods can be used in conjunction with FTP with the end point for all uploads being the customer FTP.
e.g Sent Via Email → Assessment in TCW → Customer FTP
Requirements
SFTP site hosted by the customer or IT provider
User account created for TCW
A dedicated directory with full permissions enabled for TCW user account
Whitelist our importer I.P address: 52.169.215.25
Then simply provide us with the Host, Username, password of the SFTP site and your preference of sorting.
Once the above has been provided we would configure the directory with a folder structure -
ToTCW and FromTCW
If you would like to explore this further just reach out to our support team - support@tcwin.co.uk
Sorting
Another feature available is inspection date and Document TAG sorting, for instance Contractor (Con:), this will dynamically create sub directories based on the tag name.
Available sorting options:
Document Type
Contractor
Landlord
Engineer
Inspection month
Compliance
Export after remedial action
When a result is resolved or a remedial action is closed in TCW, the compliance rating can change. To ensure exports are kept up-to date TCW can connect to the FTP, locate the original PDF at time of upload, remove then re-export the document to the relevant compliance rating to reflect the updated results.
